Fr. Joe was one of the kindest people that I´ve ever known. He was a wonderful priest and a genuinely wonderfully caring person. He will be missed SO much.

I was privileged to know Father Joe and was blessed to have received his friendship. We first met when he was serving at the Little Sisters of the Poor. I was always moved by his Joy in the midst of suffering, and how much he reached out and loved others from the cross of his wheelchair. He was gifted in so many ways and he was so generous in sharing his gift of priesthood. May he now be enfolded forever within the Sacred Heart of Jesus whom he served and shared so admirably with all.

I'm very sorry to learn of Fr. Joe's passing. He was from my hometown and I know was well-respected, including by fellow residents at St. Clare Commons. May God's radiance welcome him Home to everlasting peace.

I have known the Weigman family since Laurie and I were in first grade at Fremont St. Ann. A great family I remember with fondness. My thoughts and prayers are with your whole family. Rest in Peace Father Joe. Barb (Nieset) Kowaleski

During my time as a staff chaplain at Mercy St. Charles Hospital, Fr. Joe was a dear friend and colleague. I enjoyed our office conversations, as with an ecumenical spirit, we shared thoughts, listened to each other, and shared a little humor besides. I will always think fondly of him.

Father Joe was such a comfort to our mom at Little Sisters of the Poor, as he was to all of the residents. Rest in peace.

Joe was such a wonderful human being and priest! I was an undergrad at BGSU when he was at St. Thomas More. My condolences to his family. I'm sure God welcomed Joe with open arms! A tree will be planted in his memory.

Fr Joe was so kind to my sister when she was a resident at St Claire Commons. He was always kind to bless her and I with special prayers after attending his mass in the chapel. He gave the most inspiring sermons. Sure he was welcomed fully into heaven. Welcome Home Faithful Servant! May he rest in peace.
Prayers for all who will miss his company , words of wisdom and generosity of faith.
