Judith A. Manders

Judith A. Manders, 85, a pillar of the Point Place community, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2025, with family at her side. Judy was born February 11, 1940, to Don and Leone (Chudzinski) Haase. She graduated from Central Catholic High School (1958) and attended The University of Toledo and was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She married Thomas Manders on August 20, 1960, and together they shared 55 years of love, friendship, and adventures raising their seven children and traveling with their lifelong friends.

Judy is survived by her children, Michael (Kerry), Stephen (Sue), Suzanne (Don) Loucks, Donald (Carey), Vince (Michelle), Karyn (Chris) Weeks, and Ellie (Tony) Godfrey; 20 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law, Marcia Haase, Sr. Mary Jaculin Manders, SND, and Jeannette Weber; and several forever friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Robert Haase; and great-granddaughter, Iva May.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 p.m., at David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., Toledo, Ohio, as well as from 9:00-10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 530 Regina Pkwy, Toledo, Ohio 43612, where Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Eric Schild, Celebrant. Private burial will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Toledo, or to the Victory Center.
