Judith Nunemaker Obituary
November 4, 1937 - May 19, 2025
Judith Ann (Krushe) Nunemaker passed away on May 19, 2025. Born on November 4, 1937, to Stephen F. and Viola M. (Zuch) Krushe. She married Robert Nunemaker on April 12, 1958. She and Bob were owners of Helmer Flower Shop until their retirement in 2006. Judy was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School and the University of Toledo and was retired from the former Medical College of Ohio. Always understated in her own talents, accomplishments and virtues, she had a keen eye for decorating and loved to garden. Judy loved to cook and attributed her soup specialties to her Grandma Ellen Zuch, who had a restaurant in Elmore, Ohio. She valued and cherished her friends whom she loved to cook for and entertain. She had a sharp and inquisitive mind and was a master of crossword puzzles. She was also an antique collector and dealer, an elder at First Presbyterian Church of Erie, Michigan, and past president of the Toledo Women's Club. She was a great mom.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Heidi Nunemaker; and her daughter-in-law, Anne McDonald. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; her daughter, Holly; and her beloved furry family members, Buddy and Sammie.
A celebration of Judy's life will be held at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd., Temperance, Michigan, on Thursday, June 5, 2025. Visitation at 10:30 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Monroe County or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
