Kelly Emerson, age 68, passed away surrounded by friends and family on Friday, September 12, 2025. Kelly was born in Adrian, MI, to Sarah Emerson, on November 5, 1956.

He graduated from Madison High School in 1974, and went on to get his Associates degree in Science from Northwest Alabama Community College. He continued classes at University of Toledo and Lourdes College.

He enjoyed history, outdoor survival, collecting recipes and studying the health benefits of spices. Kelly could talk about everything from space aliens to American Indians and anything in between.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Will and Eva Emerson; and a younger sister, Kim Fuller.

He leaves behind his mother, Sarah Emerson; sister, Kriss Stewart; brother, Kevin Barnwell (Rhonda); and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of a service, the family requests that donations be made in Kelly's name to Orchard Villa Nursing Home, in Oregon, OH, and/or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Kelly and myself were in the same class at MHS. I remember Kelly very well... Always cracking a good joke. My deepest sympathy to his family.. Rest in Peace my friend.
