Kenneth M. Ceglio

Kenneth M. Ceglio, 81, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 7, 2022.

He was born December 13, 1940, in Toledo, to Joseph D. and Virginia J. (Visco) Ceglio.

Known as "Sonny" to most of his family, Kenny had many careers ranging from factory work to big tow-truck operator, road construction laborer, and general maintenance man. He was a huge football fan- and a full-blown Ohio State fanatic. Ken enjoyed keeping his yard perfect, and loved watching old westerns. Back in the day he spent many years coaching and playing recreational softball, having made lifelong friends among his teammates. The family wishes to acknowledge the wonderful care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio during this final journey, as well as our appreciation for the years of devoted caregiving by his son Mark with the assistance of nursing care by Jennifer, RN.

He is survived by children, Polly (Pete) Gerken, Mark Ceglio, Julia Ceglio (Rob Adamski), and Joseph Ceglio (Tanya Charland); grandchildren, Joshua, Steven, Jonathan, Mindy, Ashley, and Cindy Jo; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jackie Poulson-Lafferty, Joe Ceglio (Donna), Mary Jo Schmelz, and Rick Ceglio (Nancy). He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Mary Ann; sisters, Barbara Vermett and Katie Webster; and baby brother, Michael.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2022, with a time of remembrance, sharing of stories and memories at 1:30 p.m., at David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., Toledo 43611.
