Kenneth John Jr.


Kenneth J. Rahman Jr., age 38, passed away Friday, February 14, 2014. Ken was born January 17, 1976, in Toledo to Kenneth Sr. and Tina Dover. He was a graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School and attended the University of Toledo. Ken joined JDRM Engineering in September of 1995, as a CAD Draftsman but his skills, insights, and hard work quickly expanded his role into that of Communications Engineer. In August of 2000, Ken became a Registered Communications Distribution Designer and passed certification as a Network Technology Systems Designer in 2003. He served as the manager of JDRM Engineering's Technology Division and was named a partner in the firm in 2011. Ken was also a published author and contributed to the professional publications distributed by BICSI, the professional association supporting information technology systems (ITS) industry of voice, data, electronic safety and security, project management, and audio and video technologies. He was very proud of his work with JDRM.

Ken married his high school sweetheart, Sarah Levine, in 2001. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. Ken loved supporting his children at their various activities, volleyball for Maddie, wrestling for Josh, and soccer for Shayna. He also enjoyed vacationing with his family, golfing, and playing video games. He successfully completed the Sylvania Triathlon in 2012.

Ken is survived by his wife, Sarah; children, Madelyn Rose, Shayna June, and Joshua John Rahman; mother and stepfather, Tina and Ron Dover; father, Kenneth J. Rahman Sr.; father and mother-in-law, Ritchie and Penny Levine and brother-in-law, Jason (Courtney) Levine. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Rahman Sr. and Wladyslaw Wazbinski, and grandmother, Dorothy June Rahman.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at the Temple Shomer Emunim, 6453 W. Sylvania Ave. Sylvania, OH. Friends will be received immediately following the services or from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday evening, at the home of Ritchie and Penny Levine, 3753 Herr Rd. Sylvania, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rahman Children Education Fund at any area Huntington Bank. Online condolences may be shared at
