Larry A. Hardy

Larry Hardy, 82, of Riverview, MI passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Henry Ford Hospital in Wyandotte, MI. Larry was born on September 19, 1942, to Sportswood and Irma (Cowell) Hardy in Toledo, OH. After graduating from Whitmer High School in 1960, Larry attended the University of Toledo earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering and credits towards his master's degree while participating in the ROTC program. Larry married Sue White in 1963. He was in the US Army during the Vietnam war stationed in Fort Sill, Oklahoma for two years. After being discharged, he and Sue settled in Michigan where Larry began his 37-year career at Ford Motor Company as an engineer; submitting many patents. He loved riding his motorcycles, working with wood, and being outside. Larry and Sue backpacked the Grand Canyon and hunted deer, squirrels and pheasants together. He will be missed by his beloved dog, Molly.

Larrry is survived by his loving wife, Sue; sisters, Ruth Jean (Charles) Zoeller and Jane (David) Gemmill; and numerous family members. Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. where the funeral service will begin. Interment will follow at Whiteford Cemetery. Those wishing to make Contributions may consider Toledo Humane Society or the charity of the donor's choice in Larry's name. Online condolences to
