Larry



Larry Meeks, age 70, of Oak Harbor, Ohio passed away March 28, 2014, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. He was born August 11, 1943, in Toledo to Allen and Betty (Rieter) Meeks. Larry served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed anything to do with being outdoors. Larry was a Master Mason.

Larry is survived by his wife, Doris Ann Meeks; children, Pam Contos, Paula Meeks, Jerry Hackett and Dawn Marie Courtney; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Judy Guittierz, Tom Meeks and Royal Meeks. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Deana Jo Meeks, and brothers, Skeeter and Howard Meeks.

The family will receive guests Tuesday, April 1, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). A Masonic Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Services will begin Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Larry's memory.
