Leroy F. SCHROEDER

SCHROEDER Leroy F. Leroy Schroeder, age 86, died April 6, 2011, after a long battle with cancer. He served in the U. S. Navy in World War II. Leroy worked for the State Highway Patrol at the Findlay Post for 12 years working another 22 years at L.O.F. He married Bonnie April 15, 1960. Together they square danced at the Senior Center in Bedford, Michigan. He also enjoyed woodworking, gardening and most of all the time spent with his family. "Our dad is our HERO" Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Bonnie; children, Denny Owens, Mike Schroeder, Joe Schroeder, Steve Owens, Debbie (Brian) Shireman and Jamie (Andy) Szegedi; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and sisters, Velma (Bob) Schang and Betty Lehman. He was preceded in death by his baby daughter, Roianne Schroeder at the age of 19 months; his parents, Harmon and Edna Schroeder and his brother, Harold Schroeder. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life for Leroy at St. Michael Centre at 4001 Navarre Avenue in Oregon, Ohio, from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 10.
