JACOBS Lillian C. Lillian C. Jacobs, age 98, of Wauseon, passed away Friday morning, June 11, 2010 at Heartland of Wauseon. Lillian was born in Utica, Ohio on June 17, 1911, the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Lily (Baughmann) Turner. On July 18, 1936 she married James D. Jacobs, and preceded her in 1979. To this union three children were born. Sue C. (Larry Raburn) Jacobs of Wauseon, James R. Jacobs of Hawaii, and Neva (Larry) Warncke of Wauseon. Lillian was a 1929 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and a 1923 graduate of Bowling Green State College. Lillian taught school in Fremont, Toledo, and Wauseon for a total of 22 years. She administered civil service exams and managed sales personnel for Janalee Dress Co. She was the office manage and partner with her husband in Royal Bounty Mink Ranch, Jacobs Gulf Oil and the development of Jacobs Subdivision in Wauseon. Lillian served as president of the Wauseon B & PW Club and was named Woman of the Year in 1976. She was a member of the First Christian Church and taught many Sunday school classes. She was a Cherry Coat at Fulton County Health Center for many years and volunteered at Sauder Village Lillian leaves to survive her children and grandchildren, Scott (Kelly) Behrmann of Columbus, OH, Kelly (Pat) Monahan of Three Rivers, MI, Hayley (Bruce) Brown of Edon, OH, Lisa Jacobs of Raleigh, NC, Jack (Karen) Warncke of Wauseon, Jason (Michelle) Jacobs of New York, Molly (Tony) Oakleaf of New Albany, OH, Lenny (Michelle) Warncke of Columbus, OH, and Jen Jacobs. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Kimber, Jacob, Ty, Erika, JD, Charlie, Zoe, Wyatt, Scott, Franki, Bailey, Brogan, Emily, Joseph, Kara, Abraham, Lily, Eli, Caroline and Marc; sister-in-law Thelma Turner, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Bradley "Skeeter" Liechty, and siblings, Bernice (Hal) Bauman, Helen and Emmett Mead, Marjorie and Austin Kraft, Boyd and Verna May Turner, William and Jeanette Turner, Joseph Turner, and Mildred and Bud Knagle. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2010 at the First Christian Church in Wauseon, with the Rev. Mitch Maxted, and the Rev. Mary Jo Bray, officiating. Interment will follow in the Wauseon Union Cemetery. Friends may call in the narthex of the First Christian Church in Wauseon on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the First Christian Church.
