Margaret Knicely, born on January 19, 1939, passed away peacefully at home on November 4, 2023. She was 84 years old.
Margaret touched the lives of many through her career as a teacher and her role as a loving mother and grandmother. She was able to experience many interesting places around the world through cruises and traveling, such as Hungary, Ireland, France, the Caribbean, and more. Her love for gardening, crafting and fashion all showed her vibrant and creative spirit. Most of all, she loved being with her family. Her zest for life held out until her last day.
Surviving Margaret are her siblings, Fran (Al) Ouskey, Frank (Sue Ann) Westmeyer; and in-laws, Bill Lambrecht and Sue Westmeyer; her three sons, Rick (Debbie Rajner) Knicely, Randy (Denise) Knicely, and Rob Knicely; and her 7 grandchildren, Brooke of Rick and Denise Bleyaert- Knicely, Samantha, Walter, and Sarah of Randy and Denise Knicely, and Melissa, Joey, and William of Rob Knicely and Michelle Poe. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Mary Westmeyer; and siblings, Bud, Mary, Rita and Nancy.
Margaret's family will receive visitors at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43614, on Wednesday, November 15, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Crafts of Margaret's will be available.
On Thursday, November 16, there will be a Catholic Mass at St. Martin de Porres Church at 1119 Bancroft St, Toledo, OH 43606 at 10:00 a.m. Final disposition will be private for the family.
