To Lise, Herb and all of the Wandscher family,
Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your mom. I am so very sorry--and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I knew Helmtrud, graduating in the same class as she did. I know this must be hard for you all.

Oma is the most beautiful woman I have ever met, so much love to share. She was the most openhearted gentle soul who touched the lives of so many people with her kind spirited love that she shared so freely; which she never seemed to doubt sharing in any way.
She cared for Jada and I in so many ways, so many unbelievable amazing ways. One woman, one soul gave this much. It is her who taught me no matter how much is taken from you in this life you still have the strength, the love, the openness to continue to open your heart up and love and share our own heart. “Life isn’t always fair,” is what Oma used to say. People are taken from us and we hurt in ways that one can only imagine. Oma taught me that we still have a life to build, and while still remembering and loving those we lost, we continue to build our lives, share our lives with those around us and that this is the most important accomplishment in life and Oma achieved this and more.
