With a heavy heart, we announce that Marilyn Ruth (Hayward) Kasee, age 74, previously of Toledo, OH, left us suddenly on the afternoon of March 17, 2025, in her Hudson, Florida, home. She was born on September 16, 1950, to Richard and Mary (Van de Venter) Hayward in Temperance, MI. She was an intelligent and quiet child with a sweet disposition, who enjoyed traveling from a very young age. A 1968 Valedictorian of Bedford High School, she graduated with honors and multiple university scholarships. She married Kenneth D. Kasee in 1969, her beloved husband of 55 years. Marilyn was known for her determination, selflessness, and incredible love for her family. In her life, she would go on to receive her degree in accounting from The University of Toledo in 1987 while working and retiring from a long-term career with the Wedding Family at IST & DST. In her free time, she could be found on the backseat of a Harley or behind the wheel of a camper, out on the open road, enjoying her time here. Marilyn would become known for her Family Holiday parties, bringing her Yorkie, Lil' Foot, to work, twiddling in her beloved garden, and for her ability to keep the rowdiest bunch in line.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Kenneth D. Kasee; son, Kenneth Shawn Kasee; grandchildren, Kenneth Schuyler (Casey Nichols) Kasee and Kathleen (Brian) Kaser; great-grandchild, Frances Jane Kasee; brother, David (Lynn) Hayward; and her Florida friends. Instead of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the American Heart Association or Planned Parenthood in her memory. Please join us at the family Mausoleum at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe Street, Sylvania, Ohio, on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. to celebrate her life.
