Marilyn Wick Obituary

WICK Marilyn G. Marilyn G. Wick, formerly of Toledo, died Wednesday, November 19, 2008, in her Cincinnati home, at the age of 81 years, following an extended illness. Marilyn was born in Toledo on January 9, 1927, to Voyl and Mollie (Slawecki) Macklin and was a 1945 graduate of Woodward High School. She married Robert H. Wick in Toledo on November 18, 1950 and had worked in the parts department for Sears for 10 years. Marilyn also assisted her husband, Bob at the former Zimmerman-Wick Funeral Home as well as being a devoted wife and mother. She was a lifelong member of the Fort Industry Chapter of the Eastern Star #391 and was a member of Faith Church of Milford, Ohio. Marilyn and Bob moved to New Port Richey, Florida in August 1996. Bob passed away in March of 1997 and Marilyn stayed in Florida until the Fall of 2006, when she moved to be near her daughter in Cincinnati. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Robert D. Macklin. Surviving are her children, Donald K. (Julie) Wick of Mount Gilead, OH and Lynda K. Wick of Cincinnati, OH and grandsons, Andrew S. Wick and Matthew T. Wick. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2008, in the Robert H. Wick/Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd. (419-535-5840) where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Interment Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the M.I.C.U. at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio.
