February 6, 1956 - December 19, 2025
Mark Richard Erdmann, 69 years, of Temperance, MI passed away peacefully after a short but valiant fight with cancer on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo Campus. The son of Harry and Peggy (Longenecker) Erdmann he was born on February 6, 1956 in Toledo, OH.
Mark was a hardworking man who took great pride in everything he did. He spent many dedicated years at General Mills until its closure, after which he earned his CDL and began a new chapter as a truck driver. Driving truck became one of his greatest joys, and he was incredibly proud of the miles he traveled and the work he accomplished.
Mark loved being outdoors rather it be golfing, fishing, landscaping, and caring for his many plants. He enjoyed watching football and rooting for the Chicago Bears. He recently became a member of State Line Community Church and looked forward to attending weekly services and strengthening his faith.
Mark is survived by his children, Travis (Suzanne) Erdmann and Kimberly (Andrew) Grove; grandchildren, Tatum Pack, Abigail, Daniel, and Jacob Erdmann, and Adalyn and Makenna Grove; brothers, Ken (Lisa) Erdmann and Dan Erdmann; sister, Barb (John) Varner. He was preceded in death by his parents and his youngest daughter, Angela Erdmann.
In his final months, Mark found comfort in moving closer to his daughter, Kim and forming new friendships at Moongate South. While there, Mark was treated like family, and their kindness and support meant the world to him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI where the funeral service will be at Noon. Burial will be private in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, where he will be laid to rest beside his parents. Donations in Mark's honor may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, whose care and compassion brought him peace. Online condolences may be shared at www.bedfordfuneralchapel.com .
