I met Ross via the Internet on Ancestry.com when he reached out to me regarding the Hill family of which we were both members. We were able to share ancestral information and to learn about one another's lives. We both grew up in Ohio and our common root family (The Hill's) lived in Ross & Pickaway counties. The last I heard from Ross was 2017 when he was living in S. California. I just attempted to contact him again when I learned of his passing some two years ago. I am so sorry to hear this and send my sincere condolences to his family. I am regretful that we did not have the opportunity to meet face to face, as I am sure we would have enjoyed one another's company immensely. God speed Ross. Neil Gest in Sammamish WA

Mark's passing was a shock to us (his brothers and sister) as earlier that day we received an upbeat email from him, on how well he was doing after his heart surgery.
His friends and coworkers in Atlanta had nothing but high praises about Mark's work, and how wonderful a person he was. As a biased sibling... yea, I know, that was our brother.
Mark brought joy, happiness and a story into everyone's life and never had a bad word about anyone.
He loved what he did. It wasn't work or a job, but a career.
We will miss his spirit and joyful essence that touched everyone.

I remember spending time with my cousins when we were young. Christmas in the basement at the Ross family home on Sylvania ave. Playing basketball in the back, and many other good times. Mark was always so easy to get along with. And fun to be around. a real good sense of humor. My teenage years I didn't hang out with family much. Mostly the new kids from high school. Then I moved to Florida and didn't see family much. Except at Aunt Clara and uncle Whitey's home in Pompano, Which was about 30 miles from me. One day there was a knock on my door, and it was Mark. What a surprise. He made a point to look me up after visiting with Vannessa, Ted, Aunt Clara and Uncle Whitey. He drove the 30 miles and found my place never being there before. We had a great visit, but too short. We hadn't seen eachother in maybe 15 years or so. I will always love Mark , and miss him. Such a kind and thoughtful person. I'm trying not to be sad now, but it's hard. I do believe in Heaven and surely that is where he is. Love always, your cousin. John Plocek.
