To Shirley, Marty, Johnny and Greg: Your father was a great dad to all your childhood friends. I remember all the wonderful times we all had together growing up in Toledo and his smile when we accomplish our goals in life. Although, I found out about his passing to late to attend his homecoming service, I will miss him and pray that he will have eternal happiness and peace in heaven. I will remember him always.

Shirley, Marty, Greg & John my deepest heart felt sympathy goes out to each of you. The lost of a parent is a very difficult time especially one who has been such a pillar and has meant so much to all of you. His impact on your lives does not go un-noticed. My heart aches to know your pain. Now you must let faith and time make it all better. May GOD bless each and every one of you. John I love you!

To The Loved Ones of Marshall Swan,
It deeply saddens my heart to hear of Marshall's passing. Though we had not communicated over several years, Marshall has always continued to rest in my mind and heart. I remember as a little girl, how greatly I had admired him. Marshall had been a very good friend of my mom & dad, and an 'uncle' personality to all their children. We will miss him dearly. I encourage you all to continue to look to the memories of Marshall, in your minds and hearts. For it is there that Marshall shall remain alive. Look to God for help and the strength to endure, for truly He Is our 'strength and refuge; a very present help in trouble.'~Psalm 46:1
My sincere love & prayers to each and every one from whom Marshall has departed.
Sincerely,
Rev. David L. Cunningham

To the 'Swan' family,
You have my deepest sympathy; I am proud that I had the privilege of working with Marshall in 'law enforcement', and being a 'Friend' of his, and he a 'Friend' of mine. But most of all, I enjoyed sitting and talking with him about his faith in God and being his barber for the last four years of his life. I will certainly miss him, he will forever remain in my mind and on my heart. Man may know a lot, but God knows best.
Marshall, rest in peace.
Humbly & Prayerfully Submitted,
Jesse Matthews II

Dear Webo(my name for my grandfather), God blessed me to have one of the best grandfathers in the world. You were a pillar whose presence held comfort and strength, even without a word being said. You were someone I looked up to not only for your accomplishments, but for the way you made me feel when I was around you. I will always love you and I thank God that you got to see my daughter and your great grand-daughter. Know that my memories of you will live on forever. And even in your time of tests, YOU kept MY head up. What a wonderful grandfather. I pray that I could one day become half the grandfather that you were to me. I take pride in knowing I have the honor of continuing the "swan" name and legacy behind it. And even though I have tears in my heart, my spirit is happy to know that Jesus can comfort you a million times more than you have comforted me.... Love your grandson, Pepe ;)

Marshall defined the word gentleman. We both enjoyed working with him at NBH. It was always a relief to know Marsh was on duty, he was right there to help you and try to prevent any problems. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the family. Marsha, Marianne from Waterford (Sue's Mom) says that her thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family. Shirley - As you know I have had the distinct pleasure of knowing your dad while we both worked at TPD. Your dad was a good guy and a lot of fun. I will be thinking of you and praying you'll find strength in the knowledge that your dad is resting in God's care.
