Mary Boehm Obituary

Mary Lou Boehm

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we bid farewell to a remarkable woman who left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Mary Lou Boehm, beloved wife, devoted mother, adoring grandma, cherished sister, loyal friend, and dedicated bus driver, passed away peacefully with dignity and grace on April 5th, 2024, at the age of 87. She was born January 16, 1937, in Toledo to parents Simon and Viola (Dick) Norman.

Mary Lou lived her life with a radiant spirit and a larger-than-life attitude that filled every room she entered with warmth and joy. Her infectious laughter, uncoordinated gracefulness, positivity, and boundless energy were a source of inspiration to all who crossed her path. She had a unique ability to make everyone around her feel loved, valued, and uplifted.

As a devoted wife, Mary Lou shared a love with her husband that was a shining example of commitment and partnership. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever be treasured.

As a mother, Mary Lou poured her heart and soul into raising her children with unconditional love, guidance, and encouragement. Her children, Fred, Keith, Karen, and Linda, share fond memories of their childhood, filled with constant laughter, love, and the nurturing care of a wonderful mother. Her children credit their mother for instilling in them values of kindness, compassion, and resilience that have shaped them into the individuals they are today.

To her grandchildren, Mary Lou was a source of endless love, joy, and fun. She embraced the role of grandma with open arms and a playful spirit, creating lasting bonds and unforgettable moments that will be cherished for generations to come.

As a sister, Mary Lou was a source of strength, support, and sororal love. She shared a special bond with her siblings that was built on a foundation of shared memories, inside jokes, and unconditional love.

As a bus driver, Mary Lou extended her care and love beyond her family to the children she transported for many years. Her dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of the children she drove was a testament to her kind and nurturing nature.

Mary Lou was sound in her faith and was ready to see the Lord and her heavenly family. Her belief and trust in a higher power brought her peace and comfort as she embarked on her journey to reunite with her loved ones.

Mary Lou is survived by her children, Fred Boehm (Kelly), Keith Boehm (Karen), Karen Lengel (Sean), and Linda Sheline (Bob); 8 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Jenny Williams (Les) and Pete Butler (Bill); many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Bill; sisters, Ann Liggett and Norma Kleopfer; and great-grandson, Kelan Lengel.

Mary Lou's children would like to thank their cousin, Allison Roller for all of her support throughout their mother's journey.

Although Mary Lou may no longer be with us in body, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace, knowing that her love and light will shine on in the hearts of those she touched.

In lieu of donations, the family kindly asks that in Mary Lou's honor, you live your life with love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, meekness, and faith. May these virtues guide you in honoring her memory and in spreading positivity and kindness.

Mary Lou will be missed. I have fond memories of her smile and laughter in the church lobby when she and Chris would exchange stories of the kids´ antics on and off the bus. She was always warm and friendly , with a sparkle of fun.

Mary , you were always a good friend. You never had a bad word for or about anyone. Sometimes you would just chuckle lightheartedly ; you had the greatest laugh and a welcoming smile. I can still hear your voice that makes me smile.
