Mary Ray Obituary
Mary Francis Ray of Toledo, OH, passed peacefully on February 1, 2023, at the age of 94. She was born in Hagan, Georgia, to Gertrude and Wiliam Davis on December 27, 1928.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and William Davis; her husband, Claython Ray; and all of her siblings including: Jessie May Davis, Louise Thomas, Betty Jean King-Russ, Emma Randall, Reuben, Ernest, James Brown, Lewis Henry, L.D., Ira Lee, William H., Samuel B., and Herbert Davis Sr.
To continue her memory of life are Herbert, Jr., Kevin Davis, Sherri Buchanan, Michael King (Debra), Edward King, Terrance J. Davis, Melinda Blitch, Dorothy Mincey, Rickey Ellis, Gertrude Gwendolyn Davis-Gideon(Louis), Nicole Davis-Vuskasin (Alex), Betty Jean Davis- Reliford, Priscilla Davis-Brown, Terrence Davis, Robert Davis; as well as multiple nieces and nephews, cousins, Godchildren and many friends who dearly loved her.
Her viewing will take place at The House of Day Funeral Home, 2550 Nebraska Avenue, on Friday, February 10, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. â€" 7:00 p.m. Celebration of Life will convene at The Rock of Praise Church of God In Christ located at 1632 N. Cove Blvd. Family hour will begin at 9:00 a.m. followed by celebration at 10:00 a.m.

Sis Ray was indeed a faithful prayer warrior and long standing member and Mother to New Life COGIC. She will be greatly missed by this church and all those who loved her. She was a woman of God and it was a pleasure knowing her. My condolences to both her biological and church families.

I will always treasure my great aunt, Mary Frances Ray. She was my prayer partner and we often prayed together, and sang songs of old via telephone. I will always treasure her and miss her terribly. Rest well dear soldier.

Mother Mary Francis Ray a steadfast woman of God, woman of integrity, upon meeting her in 1995 at New Life COGIC, I was drawn to her Spirit by the love she showed. Much can be said about this woman of God, just another solider gone on home who will be missed but not forgotten. God Bless.
