Mary Scheuer Obituary
Lucille
Mary "Lucille" Scheuer, 97, of Metamora, OH, died Saturday, December 1, 2012, in Vicki's Home Care, Sylvania, OH. Born November 29, 1915, in Deshler, OH, she was the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Dunzer) Glanz. A 1936 graduate from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, she married Orville Scheuer on June 18, 1942. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1999. Lucille was employed as a registered nurse for the Fulton County Health Dept., retiring in the early 1970's. Prior, she was employed by Bixby Hospital as a surgical nurse from 1936-1942. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church (St. Mary Catholic Church, Assumption), where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. Lucille enjoyed bowling, camping with her grandchildren, cooking and baking for family meals in her country home.
Lucille is survived by her loving daughter, Barbara (Paul) Nichols of Metamora, OH; sisters, Dorothy Jean McDonald and Eileen Schlagheck; grandchildren, Rebecca (Jason Mercurio) Nichols, Susan (Kofi) Ogoe, John (Glenda) Trausch, and 6 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Ann Bacon; grandson, Bill Trausch; brothers, Paul and Bob Glanz, and sisters, Laverne Shaw and Bernita Higgins.
Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2649 US Highway 20 Swanton, OH 43558, where Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the National Alzheimer's Association.

Our condolences to your family, Orville was my cousin, My wife & I remember their 50th anniversay celebration so well, they were both such lovely people, so nice to everyone & always had time for everyone. We used to visit the country many, many years ago & we were always welcomed by them.
