Mathew Shane
Mathew Shane Barney, age 28, of Toledo passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at The Toledo Hospital. He was born on July 22, 1986, to Steve Rountree and Sherry (Glaze) Whitenburg.
Mathew was employed by his brother Mike, at Exterior Qualities Home Improvement as a field supervisor.
He enjoyed attending Cedar Creek Church, dirt bike riding, boating, fishing, camping, hunting, but most of all, spending time with his girls.
Mathew leaves a loving wife, Jessica Barney; daughters, Autumn Delilah and Millie Diana Barney; parents, Sherry Whitenburg and Rich Frantz and Steve Rountree; brothers, Glen (Kim) Barney and Mike (Amber) Barney; sisters, Stephanie and Amanda Whitenburg; half-brother and sisters; many aunts and uncles, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In celebration of Mathew's life, a memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015, from 1 - 5 p.m. at the Sunset Banquet Hall, 1460 Woodville Rd., Millbury, Ohio 43447. Memorial contributions to Mathew's family to honor his girls would be greatly appreciated and may be made to any local branch of the Huntington Bank. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, Oregon, Ohio.

Man i only knew so long working for yur brother.. every morning yu showed up to the office.. we would all (my dad, you, michael barney, and I) would all have our laughs and conversations in the morning about whats going on in life.. when i forst start yu had just gotten back from yur wife giving birth to yur 2nd daughter.. yu was looking so forward to watching them grow up and intimidating any future boyfriends lol. To the people who care even tho we cant say hi or good morning.. we all know yur with us every step of the way. Everyone will be strong bcuz they know thats what yu would want. R.I.H. we all will see you when we get there.

Although I never knew Mat, I know his Mom so that tells me what a wonderful person he was. Please always cherish the memories and remember that God has a plan and that plan included needing Mat now. Jessica, we are so very sorry for your loss. We met you at Toledo hospital and you gave us rosary beads for my mother, my sons grandmother. She too passed away on July 4th. I lost my husband 2 1/2 yrs ago so I know your pain. May you find comfort in Gods words and in those two beautiful little girls of yours. Jess I'm so sad for you that you again are dealing with such sadness, Matt was such a-great husband and father to Autumn and Millie. He was so wonderful to your mom when she was going through her illness. I'll never forget at our beautiful Thanksgiving dinner when everyone went around the room and said what they were thankful for and he said your "mom " and how much she helped him get on the right track and that he would be forever grateful to her with tears in his eyes and now he's saying "move over I'm going to share your cloud and help you look after our girls,with that big smile of his! Jessica, I am so sorry, it is more than my heart can bear to think you and the girls must suffer the loss of such a fine young man as Matt. Everytime I spoke with him he was such a nice and caring person. I know your Mom loved him too and was so happy he was
