Matthew Granzow Obituary
Matthew Granzow, age 38, passed away suddenly on July 11, 2017. He was born on October 16, 1978 in Royal Oak, Michigan. The family moved to Toledo, Ohio in 1987 where he graduated from Sylvania Southview. He graduated from Ohio University, majoring in business and economics. After college he moved to Chicago, where he became a successful financial advisor. For the past year he has lived in Santa Monica, California, where he continued his practice.
He is survived by his father and mother, Dennis and Kathi Granzow; brother, Jeffrey (Candice) Granzow; sister, Kathleen (Steven) Peters; grandmother, Mary DuPraw; niece, Agnes Granzow; and his Frenchy, Miss Gertrude.
Visitation will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 310 Elizabeth St., Maumee, Ohio 43537, 10:00 a.m. on August 12, 2017 with a memorial service following at 11:00 a.m.
Donations may be made to La Rabida Children's Hospital, 6501 S. Promontory Dr., Chicago, Illinois 60649 or The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society.

I knew matt from tidal software in chicago. He was always nice. I just found out about his passing and im so sorry to hear of his passing. He was always so full life.

Kathi and Dennis,
While I could not be with you and your family today for Matt's funeral service, Matt and all of you have been in my thoughts and prayers.
I will never forget the walk through the wooded area in Ann Arbor that I took Jeff and Matt on a late summer day. Both of them were real characters and spending time with them was always so enjoyable.

TO Matt's family and friends:
Matt was our trusted financial advisor and more than that. Over the years we became friends and got to know him as a sweet, funny interesting young man with many fine attributes. We are shocked and so sad to learn of his passing. He spoke often of his grandfather and we know he is in heaven with him now. At a loss to know what to say other than we loved him and can't believe he is gone.
May memories and the comfort in knowing he was so loved ease this awful loss at least a little.
