Max Dorfmeister

Max Dorfmeister, age 87, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 6, 2021, in his home. Max was a CPA who started his own firm and was in business for 45 plus years. He was married to his wife, Patricia, for nearly 62 years. He was a devout Catholic and member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church.

He loved playing golf with his wife, spending time with his dogs, especially Jake, having Easter egg hunts for the grandkids, watching his children and grandchildren play sports and vacationing by the ocean with family. The children and grandchildren remember him passing out gold coins or silver dollars for good grades.

Max graduated from St. Mary's grade school, Central Catholic High School and the University of Toledo with an accounting degree. He proudly served in the U.S. Army after college becoming a 1st Lieutenant and playing golf for the Army golf team.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Grace; sister, Ida; brother-in-law, Tom McHugh; and son-in-law, Churton Budd. He is survived by his wife, Pat; children, Ann (Dean) Dutched, Jane Dorfmeister, Terry Budd, Heidi (Tim) Crawford and John Dorfmeister; as well as 9 grandchildren.

Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Sunday, November 21st from 1:00-5:00 p.m. where a Scripture Service will be recited at 4:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 22nd beginning at 9:30 a.m., in the mortuary, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
