Michael Duckworth Obituary
Michael John Duckworth, 68 years old, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, February 14, 2021. Born to Warren G. and M. Gloria Duckworth in Akron, OH, he was raised and attended grade school, high school and The University of Toledo in Toledo, OH before moving to New Jersey and living in several towns including Randolph, Morris Plains and Kinnelon before settling in the Lake Gerard section of Hardyston Twp., NJ 33 years ago.
Michael attended The University of Toledo earning his BA in Business and then worked for Ricoh Corp. in Fairfield, NJ as a Technology Training Specialist for the last 43 years. Michael was an avid reader and enjoyed outdoor watersports like kayaking, canoeing, boating, fishing and also enjoyed playing golf.
Michael is the dear brother of Mary Gloria "Daisy" Davis and her husband, Carl of Palm City, FL.
Memorial Mass will be Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Vianney RC Church, Stockholm, NJ. Cremation services under the direction of F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers to a favorite charity in Michael's name would be greatly appreciated. "Duckie" was a high school and college friend where we shared many good times like hitchhiking back and forth from Toledo to Athens and Steak & Ale parties. He was always fun, upbeat and truly one of the "good guys." May he rest in peace.
