Michael D. Frost

Michael "Mike" Frost, age 77, passed away on December 27, 2025, in Sylvania, Ohio, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Toledo to Richard and Mary Louise Frost.

After graduating from high school, Michael enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. After being shot down during combat, he returned to the United States, where he soon met the love of his life, Deborah "Debbie." Together, they built a life and raised two sons, Todd and Brian.

Michael began his career at Owens-Illinois in 1972, working in the ink plant. He later earned an associate degree in information technology. When Libbey acquired Owens-Illinois, Michael applied his degree while working in the IT department until his retirement in 2007. Michael and Debbie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2023.

Mike enjoyed traveling to Florida, spending time by the pool with his grandchildren, and visiting Put-In-Bay, where he loved listening to-and dancing to-his favorite band while enjoying a cold drink with his wife. He was an avid sports fan and could often be heard cheering on his beloved Michigan Wolverines, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and Detroit Pistons.

Michael is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Deborah Frost; his sisters, Linda Filby and Beth Coomer; his sons, Todd (Melinda) Frost and Brian Frost; four grandchildren, Alex (Robert) Ralph, Ethan (Audrey) Frost, Hannah (Jacob) Perry, and Brady Frost; and his great-grandchildren, Rohen, Riley, and Ryker, whom he was fortunate to know before his passing.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Richard; mother, Mary Louise; and his brother, Chuck. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 11:00 a.m., at Reeb Funeral Home, in Sylvania. Interment to follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
