MURDOCK Michael R. Michael R. Murdock, age 65, of Sylvania, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at Ebeid Hospice Residence. Mike was a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and worked for the Ottawa Hills Fire Department until retiring in 1996. For 18 years, he also volunteered for the Sylvania Fire Department- Station #1. He was the owner of Sylvania Business Equipment, a former president of the Sylvania Downtown Business Association, and a member of the Sylvania Moose Lodge. Camping at Sonny's Campground with his friends and family was one of Mike's favorite activities. For 23 years, he was the Head Football Coach for Sylvania Recreation. Mike is survived by his sons, Michael (Paula) and Mark Murdock, both of Sylvania; grandchildren, Britany and Tiffany, and many special nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, on Monday, January 4, 2010, from 3-9 p.m. with a Sylvania Moose Lodge service beginning at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park with Military Honors.
