Mildred COTTER Obituary

COTTER Mildred Arline Mildred Arline Cotter, age 91, of Genoa Retirement Center, Genoa, OH, died early this morning, April 1, 2010. She was born in West Unity, Ohio, on June 20, 1918, to Rollin and Inez (Reid) Connin. She married Harland J. Cotter, who is deceased. A life long resident of the area, Mildred was a graduate of Ney High School in 1936 and was the class valedictorian. A farm wife, Mildred farmed along side her husband, Harland, and over the years was employed and worked at The Art Factory, the Spangler Candy Company, both in Bryan, and Southside Restaurant in West Unity. She is survived and was most proud of her one daughter whom she adored and loved, Janet Osborne (Husband-Jim) of Northwood, OH. One nephew, Richard Schwarzbeck (Wife-Betty) of Sherwood, OH. Nieces, Norma Stombaugh (Husband-Jack) of Bryan, Joan Culler (Husband-Kenneth) of Stryker, and Marcia Sander (Husband-Dan) of Bryan, Carol Wooster of MI., Lana Short (Husband-LaRue) of Archbold, OH., and Mildred B. Cotter of Oxford, OH. Step-Grand daughter, Sherry Herman (Husband-Mark) of NC. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harland J. Cotter. (1992), a sister, Elma Schwarzbeck, a brother, Percy Connin, and an infant brother, Lowell Connin. She will be sadly missed but we know she is in Heaven in Gods Presence. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dorothy Ritchey-Moore at Orr Funeral Home in West Unity. Calling hours will be Monday evening from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 East River Road, Perrysburg, OH 43551 or the First Presbyterian Church in West Unity. www.orrfh.com
