Nelson P. Bodi

Nelson P. Bodi, age 82, of Jerusalem Township, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Nelson was born to Arthur and Dorothy (Skiver) Bodi on March 3, 1942, in Jerusalem Township. He was a 1960 graduate of Clay High School and went on to work for Toledo Edison for over 30 years as a Control Operator. After his retirement, Nelson worked maintenance at Little Sister's for 14 years. Nelson loved Lake Erie and had been a member of Harbor View Yacht Club since 1982. He enjoyed boating, fishing, cutting grass, and his garden. He and his wife, Carol, often traveled to Florida in the winter, and he loved spending time with his friends and family.

Nelson is survived by his wife, Carol, of 44 years; children, Ken (Melissa) Bodi and Beckie Bodi; stepson Tom Gwin; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and brother, Wayne Bodi. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Janel Bodi; stepsons, Tony and William Gwin; and siblings, Marilyn, Carol, and John.

A celebration of life will be held at a date to be determined in April at the Harbor View Yacht Club. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the American Heart Association.
