Really sad to learn about Nick's passing. He was a great cigar buddy both in NYC and LA and so much more.

My sincerest condolences to his mom, sisters and son.

He will be missed.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Nick Marino face-to-face, but I feel as if I knew him and would like to take this opportunity to put into words my deepest appreciation for the person he was during my short time working with him. I am Brody's 6th grade English teacher in Michigan and tutored him twice a week for almost the entire year not because he was struggling, but quite the opposite. Nick wanted his son to be at the top of his class and reach his full potential. He wanted Brody to have every advantage that life had to offer. In my 30 years of teaching, I have never had a parent contact me for this type of support. Unfortunately, assistance is typically sought after when a child is struggling or even failing, but not in this case. Nick knew how intelligent and sensitive his son is and did everything within his power to prepare his child for the competitive road of life ahead. In spite of living hundreds of miles from Brody, he had more of a presence and took more of an interest in his academics than any other parent I have worked with. It was easy to see how much Nick loved Brody and how big his dreams were for his future.

After reading the other sentiments posted by friends and family about Nick, I now understand why his son has such endearing qualities. For those who have never had the pleasure of meeting Brody, he is smart, good-natured, kind-hearted and has a quick wit that endears him to all he meets. He is a very special young man.

I am so sorry this has happened to the Marino family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, but especially Brody.

Most sincerely,
Mrs. Vogel

Many late night calls from Nick. Hadn't spoken to him in the past couple of years. He had a great dark sense of humor and wrestled with his demons. Too young to go..

We are so sorry for your loss. Nick was a wonderful father who absolutely adored his son Brody. We will miss Nick's sense of humor, thoughtfulness, and of course his amazing dance moves. Nick always came to life on the dance floor. May his family find peace in the memories they have with Nick. We were fortunate and lucky to have the opportunity to know Nick over the past 15 years. This is a tremendous loss for his family and all of his friends.

Nick,I'm sitting in your chair, (a chair that will always be yours), at the cigar spot you loved to come to and where you and I met. You're not gone, you just moved to a beautiful place of peace where in time, we will all be, and be together again. I just know that you are now sitting in a higher chair, a chair with only your name on it, with an excellent view!
Be at peace my friend until I see you again. With Love,- Dom

I come to know Nick over the years from Club Macanudo in NYC. What a great man he was with an awesome personality. Ill miss sitting with him in the front of the club in his favorite chair by the front window. Smoking his cigar and drinking his tea and talking sports , politics, and about our sons. Nick you will be deeply missed. Rest In Peace my friend.

Nick was my "brother" from as far back as I can remember. He was my favorite person to argue with, yet always had my back 100%, no questions asked. To say I am shocked and saddened is the understatement of the century. He was always special. Sending so much love to the family, even though I know it will never be enough. ♡
