Norma Billings Obituary
10/2/1929 - 11/16/2021
Norma Jean Hutt Billings of Toledo passed away surrounded by loved ones Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the age of 92. Norma was born October 2, 1929 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to Glenn and Florence (Benge) Davis. She moved to Toledo after her marriage to Robert D. Hutt which took place December 21, 1946 in Jelloway, Ohio.
Norma was a hard worker. She cleaned houses for many years. She loved her garden and canning all her tomatoes. Norma also loved going to family reunions in Mount Vernon and taking her delicious pies. Norma's specialty pies, Pumpkin, Banana Cream and Coconut cream were everyone's favorite. Not only did Norma make delicious pies, she also made thousands and thousands of Christmas cookies each year. She coaxed the whole family into helping her decorate them. Friends and family couldn't wait each year to get her delicious and beautifully decorated Christmas cookies. But the most favorite thing she made that Bob and her boys couldn't stop eating were her homemade noodles!! There were always many noodles drying in the basement for the next meal. Her boys didn't call them noodles though they were Sliders. On September 11, 1999 Norma married James A. Billings. They enjoyed camping in northern Michigan and hunting mushrooms. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; sisters, Barbara, Rozella, Joanna; brother, Paul; and husband, James Billings.
Norma left behind to cherish her memories her three sons, Bob (Donna), Gary (Deborah) and Tom (Lynn); 11 grandchildren, Andy, Tim, Mike, Dan, Heath, Amy, Eric, Chelsea, Tom, Doug and Sarah; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Norma is also survived by seven step-daughters, Sandra, Nancy, Kathleen, Diana, Beth, Laura and Amy; and special friend, Judi Walters.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church (2843 West Sterns Rd., Lambertville, MI 48144).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Norma's name to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital or to the Alzheimer's Association
Her memory will bring joy to all who knew her.

Mrs. Hutt used to cut my hair when I lived on Schroeder Dr. in Toledo and attended Whitmer High School. Bobby and Gary were neighborhood friends and we played many a game of whiffle ball and baseball over the years. Condolences to the Norma's family. She's only a memory away. RIP

Norma was a beautiful lady she was always helping someone she was like a daughter to my mom I can still hear her say aunt Lucille she was always helping mom when Toni Ann fell Norma called me every few days to see how she was doing and she prayed for Toni she helped me through the hard times ill never forget her she was like a mom and sister to me and my sister you may be gone from sight but never forgotten I love and miss you Norma I know you are with Jesus and all the family pat hollstein
