This MAN, Ollie Harris, jr. was nothing short of impressive figure to me! When I first met BIG O at Firehouse #7 in the spring of 1993, as a Probationary Firefighter, he was as kind & congenial, as much as he was strong & capable of just about anything. I learned as much from him about fighting fires, station duties, & Fire Tradition as he would offer. I cherish those endless conversations with him & the bottomless coffee pot at 7´s. He was a mentor & never knew how many of us admired him.
A true gentleman.
A MAN amongst men.
Although I, too, will miss him, it only makes sense that God has taken one of the Best to keep watch in that Heavenly Firehouse.
My heartfelt condolences & Prayers to the entire HARRIS Family & all of those that were lucky enough to know him.

I first remember Ollie from drill school where he was a hard worker and eager to learn his firefighting skills. My deepest condolences to the family. He is a good man and a well respected firefighter may he rest in peace in heaven.
