Paul Lugwig Sandberg

Paul Lugwig Sandberg, 96, of south Toledo, went to be with our Lord and Savior on April 17, 2018. It was a peaceful journey. Paul was born in Reno, NV on May 8, 1921 to Lugwid and Mable Sandberg.

Paul worked as a construction foreman for many years and built his own home in south Toledo. He served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. He was honored and proud to be part of an Honor Flight Trip to Washington, DC with his fellow World War II veterans. Paul was an avid photographer and enjoyed his Camera Club friends and family, they kept him going.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife Louise. He is survived by his son, Tad (Ann Baker); daughter, Kim (Ralph) Downour; grandchildren, Brent (Kelly) Sandberg, Justin (Melissa) Sandberg, Angie (Doug) Bond and Stacy (Bill Threet) Sloan. Also surviving are 8 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Family would like to thank his hospice nurses Sandy, Sheanese and special friend Sherry. Arrangements entrusted to Walter Funeral Home.
