Randy E. Eckel

Randy E. Eckel, age 58, of Toledo, OH, passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, in Toledo, on Friday, September 26, 2025. He was born on August 4, 1967, in Toledo, OH, to Lyle E. and Arlene J. (VonEwegen) Eckel. Randy was a graduate of Rossford High School, Class of 1985.

Randy worked as a Forklift Operator 20 plus years, first Marquis Warehouse which later became Osburn-Hessey. He loved all things John Deere. His memberships included: the National Steam Thresher's Association, the Five Point Steam Thresher's where he had served as Past President, Power of Yesteryear, the Luckey Fall Festival were he also served as a Past President, and the National Tractor Pull Association. He enjoyed colleting antique tractors and was an avid bowler.

Randy is survived by his son, Jordon Eckel, of Toledo; sisters, Cynthia Mandell, of Toledo, and Denise Deppen, of Perrysburg; nieces, Dawn Mandell, Haleigh Miller; nephews, Adam (Tasha) Mandell, Chad Wagner, Lucas Wagner, Matthew Wagner, and Hunter Miller; grandnieces, Abigail, Brooke, Emma; grandnephews, Austyn, Brayden, Jayden, Dustyn, Kia; and great-niece, Laylani. Randy was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and mother of his son, Laura.

Family and friends will be received 4-7 p.m., Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 110 W. Main Street, Luckey, OH. A Funeral Service will be conducted in the funeral home, 11 a.m., Friday, October 3, 2025, where there will be an additional time of visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service. Officiating will be Pr. Leroy Sholey. Burial will be in Ft. Meigs Cemetery, Perrysburg, OH.
