Raymond Bollini Obituary

BOLLINI Raymond A. Raymond A. Bollini, age 58, of Castalia, passed away Saturday morning, September 8, 2007, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, following a brief illness. He was born October 6, 1948, in the Republic of San Marino, Italy. When he was four years old his family came over from Italy to Sandusky. He was a 1967 graduate of Perkins High School and he attended the University of Michigan. He was employed by Delphi for over 28 years. Ray was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was involved with the Castalia Recreation Baseball and Softball programs for many years. He was an OHSAA umpire, a member of the Sandusky Umpires Association, and a member of the Communita Samarinese of Detroit, MI. He enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing, playing with his grandchildren, and everything his family was involved with. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Windau) Bollini; two daughters, Karli and Nickole Bollini, Castalia; two sons, Tony (Elizabeth) Bollini, Sandusky and Joseph Bollini, Castalia; grandchildren, Marianna and Haiden Bollini; two sisters, Nazzarena (James) Crooks, Sandusky, and Mari (Kris) Saunders, Toledo and several nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Carlo and Lucia (Moscioni) Bollini. Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Funeral Services will be held 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Avenue, Sandusky. The Rev. Doug Garrand will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stein Hospice Care Center, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870, Margaretta Township Rescue Squad Fund, 113 South Ave., Castalia, OH 44824, Serving Our Seniors, any High School baseball or softball program, or one's favorite charity.
