Rebecca Hurley Obituary
Rebecca "Becky" Ruth Hurley passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on March 19th, 2025, after a long battle with scleroderma. Becky was born in Dover, Delaware, to William and Marion (Anderson) Hayes.
She graduated from Dover High School and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Toledo, Ohio. Becoming a nurse fulfilled a lifetime goal. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Mercy and Toledo Hospitals for over 30 years.
Becky is survived by husband, Jerry, of 57 years; her children, Mary (Gregory), Karin (Thomas), Pamela (Jack); and granddaughter, Jessica (Zachary). Additional grandchildren, Melissa (Jeremy), Nicole, Casandra, Katelyn (Harley), Patrick, Nikki, Ciara, Joni (Gage), David, and Amanda; several great-grandchildren; dog, Charlotte; sister, Patricia Kobza of Dover, Delaware; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jamie; her sister, Barbara Hughes of Universal City, Texas; and many beloved dogs, especially Max.
A funeral Mass will be held on March, 31st at 11 a.m., at Saint Jerome Catholic Church, at 300 Warner Street in Walbridge, Ohio, followed by a luncheon.

It has been many years since Becky and I worked on a CHRP retreat at Gesu. Her granddaughter even babysat my son Isaac so that i could attend weekly get-togethers. I had planned on attending memorial mass, unfortunately I have to attend another funeral. God bless her family during this time of loss. i pray for all of you.

I worked with Becky at Promedica. One of my fondest memory was when Becky, myself, and another coworker went roller blading on the UT trail. Poor Becky was wiped out and couldn´t make it back to our car. We each grabbed Becky´s hand and pulled her back. I used to tease her and called her 1.5. (For 1.5 miles). Rest peacefully sweet lady. My deepest condolences to the family.
