Regina MEYERS Obituary

MEYERS Regina "Gina" Regina Meyers, 78 years, of west Toledo, passed away in the Northwest Ohio Hospice inpatient Care Center, Perrysburg surrounded by her loving family on September 4, 2011. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, on April 20, 1933, to John and Veronica (Williams) Ray and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. Gina recently attended Blessed Sacrament Parish and was a former member of St. Agnes Parish for over 50 years. Gina worked in the St. Agnes Credit Union for many years and was active in various activities at St Agnes Parish, including the Altar Rosary Sodality, lunchroom supervisor, Fall Festival chairperson, and the ice cream social. Gina enjoyed working at and playing Bingo, reading, completing puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gina was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Thomas M. Meyers and her son, Christopher; her parents, brothers and their spouses, John (Jackie), Bill (Jill) and Richard Ray; sisters-in -law, Maryanne (Ray) Reisbach, Judy Ray; brothers-in-law Richard Rossler and John and Bill Meyers. Regina is survived by her 14 children, Pat (Karen) Meyers, Rose (Paul) Gaiffe, Madonna (Michael) Kirsch, Timothy (Susie) Meyers, Martin (Cathy) Meyers, Thomas (Chris) Meyers, Colleen (John Nevarez) Meinhold, Michael (Cindy) Meyers, Kathleen (Steven) Theiss, Sean (Sheri) Meyers, Molly (Timothy) Spangler, Terrance (Jennie) Meyers, Kelly (Rob) Cripe, and Shannon Meyers; 36 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; she is also survived by her sisters Margie (Bob) Meegan, Mary Rossler, brothers Jim (Carol) and Jerry Ray, sisters -in-law Joan Ray, Madonna Stone, and Jean Meyers and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S Reynolds Rd., on Wednesday, September 7, from 6-8 p.m. and again on Thursday, September 8, from 2-8 pm where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church, 4227 Bellevue Rd. on Friday at 11:00 a.m. where the family will greet guests starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may take the form of a contribution to either the A Better Choice Adult Daycare Center, or the Ronald McDonald House.
