Reynold REES Obituary

REES Reynold Allen Reynold Allen Rees, age 97, died on August 9, 2012. He was born December 30, 1914, in Luckey, OH. His parents were Chester B. Rees and Frances Eckert Rees. He graduated from Waite High School in Toledo, OH in 1932 and worked as a sales representative for Encyclopedia Britannica. After he retired he served as a gallery guard at the Toledo Museum of Art for many years. A longtime resident of Toledo's Historic Old West End, he was an active member of the Toledo Area Theatre Organ Society and worked on the restoration and preservation of the pipe organ in the historic Ohio Theater in Toledo. Reynold is survived by his brother, Gerald M. Rees, of Ann Arbor, MI, and by seven grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Grace Bartell; his two children, Herbert and Frances; his sister, Eleanor, and two brothers, Vernon and Leland. A graveside ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at the family plot in the Bradner Cemetery, Bradner, OH.
