Richard Moser Obituary

Richard D. Moser

Richard D. Moser was born Aug. 3, 1958 in Toledo and became a lifelong resident of Perrysburg. Rich married his high school sweetheart, Georgia Bins, on January 15, 1983. He was a loyal, loving husband and became a devoted, patient, and adoring father to their two daughters, Jessa and Lydia.

Rich began his career at Innovative Controls Corporation while attending the University of Toledo for Electrical Engineering. He later became a Staff Engineer and was promoted to Engineering Manager at ICON.

Tech-savvy and with an independent and enterprising nature, Rich developed his computer hobby into Computer Gallery, his own company with customers world-wide. His entrepreneurial spirit grew with his purchase of Safe Harbor Industrial, specializing in solutions for process heat, sensors, and control requirements. With characteristic enthusiasm and dedication, Rich had been growing Safe Harbor into a thriving new venture in his life.

In recent years, Rich enjoyed traveling to Ohio University to visit Jessa and Lydia, and weekend camping trips with Georgia in their RV. In his spare time Rich flew remote control planes and drones with his nephew, John, loved backyard stargazing with his telescope, and target shooting with his brother, Bob.

Rich, 58, passed away suddenly in his sleep Thursday, April 13, at his home in Perrysburg.

A man of quiet patience and surprising wit with a good sense of humor, Rich Moser spent his life as a dedicated husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Georgia, of 34 years; daughters, Jessa (Anthony) and Lydia (Andrew); mother, Rosemarie; brother, Robert (Maribeth); sister, Debbie; nephew, John (Casey); grand-niece, Chloe; niece, Meghan; brothers-in-law, Keith Bins (Tracy), Stan Link (Melanie); nieces, Halle, Carly and Wednesday; father-in-law, Robert Bins (Barbara); mother-in-law, Helen Ensign; and feline friend, Petey. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Moser.

Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd., on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Ft. Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg. Knew Rich since early 90's when I was in the software business. He was well loved by all. A truly decent and honest man. God bless his soul. - Adam & Mary Retana

So very sad to learn of Rich's passing so long after. We had worked together both as a long-time vendor to Computer Gallery (Xcel Source) and a customer of Rich's.

He was always an admirable man to work with, with a gentle spirit..fair, hard-working, intelligent and very easy to get along with.

My deepest condolences to all of his family on his loss.
Kind regards always

Dear Georgia,

I just received an E-mail from your Dad and was shocked and saddened to learn of Richard's sudden
passing. I still remember coming to your wedding with Rich at Toledo Edison Club just like yesterday.
Just a few days back I ran into Rich at Huntington Bank in Perrysburg and had a chat with him.
Rich was always friendly to me and Marilyn and treated us like your extended family.

I am praying for you, Jesa and Lydia. May god give you strength to sustain this terrible untimely loss.

Love,
Marilyn and Ashvin

I knew Rich through my sister Catherine and brother in-law Randy. They always spoke highly of Rich. I finally had the pleasure of meeting him when he took over Safe Harbor. During that time he was very kind, helpful, and respectful. My thoughts and prayers will be with your family during this difficult time.

I worked with Rich @ ICON for 9 years and I always looked up to him because of his intelligence and amazing patience. I just don't have the words to express how sad I feel that Rich passed, especially at such a young age. The world lost a great person.

Prayers to Georgia and the girls.

I had the pleasure of working with Rich at ICON for many years. He actually hired me as Engineering Secretary. He was the best manager any company would want. Kind, respectful, so very talented and dedicated in every aspect of his work and family. He will be missed by so many. My thoughts and prays to everyone in the entire family.
