Robbie Hall Obituary

Robbie Michael Hall

Robbie "Rob" Hall, 50, from Sylvania, OH, went to his eternal home with the Lord on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 19, 1972, to Roy Hall and Sandra Adcock, Rob lived a life full of friendships and adventures in his short 50 years. A 1990 graduate of St. Frances de Sales High School, Rob would wear many hats over the course of his career, starting out at Don's Drive-In, where his mother, Sandy, was the manager. Rob would work in the restaurant business for a number of years, from Don's, to HJ's Prime Cut, to El Matador, to Terry's Restaurant. Following his time in restaurants, Rob worked at Michel Tires, AP Parts, and most recently at Johnson Controls (Clarion).

Rob was a beloved Son, Brother, Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and Friend. He would offer up his signature "hey hey hey!" greeting the second you walked in the room. Following in the footsteps of stepdad Charles "Pops" Adcock, Rob took on two daughters as his own in Courtney and Alyssa Gleckler. His grandchildren, Jasper and Kinsley, gave Rob the twinkle in his eye, as did Roscoe, his four-legged buddy for many years. Rob had many passions in life. Always known as a "fixer," you could bring anything to him â€" from a computer to a car â€" and he would dissect what was wrong and know how to fix it. Rob sure loved his classic car shows (his El Camino was a prized possession!), line dancing, jigsaw puzzles and, last but not least, his sports. He was the president of his Monday morning bowling league for 21 years, and was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Duke Blue Devils.

An avid singer, those close to Rob have certainly heard his voice from time to time. Rob enjoyed singing karaoke with his father, Roy Hall, and sisters Julie Sigurdson and April Workman, for many years, even releasing his own CD of classic country songs. Rob's love for music even led to the popular Hall Summer Bash he'd host annually in his Sylvania backyard. Rob cherished his Ontario, Canada fishing trips with Mom and Pops, his Hershey, Pennsylvania trips with Pops and Bill Lorenzen, and certainly the exclusive He-Man-Woman-Hater's-Club he shared with brother-in-law, Jeff Workman and nephew, Lucas Sigurdson.

When the holiday season came around, you could always find Rob putting the Santa hat on, eager and ready to pass out Christmas gifts. His Waffle House gang even let him dress up as the Grinch one Christmas season, though he always joked that they fired him after his one 5-hour stint…the only job Rob was ever fired from! Rob enjoyed his weekly breakfasts at Waffle House. He even had a dish named after him there! In his later years, Rob found so much joy in selling Total Life Changes (TLC) products, and even more joy in the friendships that came out of it. WOOHOO! YES, YES, YES, a phrase Rob would excitedly share, whether on social media or in-person. You could often find him at local trade shows and exhibitions, eager to help folks make healthy, nutritious changes in their lives, just as he had done so himself. In recent months, while not being able to work, Rob looked forward to playing Wordle and Quordle each morning with his sisters, Julie and April. Everyone would share their results in a text message thread; Rob would call Julie and April his "Padwans."

Rob is survived by his mother, Sandy Adcock and father, Roy E. (Cheryl) Hall; daughters, Courtney (Cory) Gleckler and Alyssa Gleckler; grandchildren, Jasper and Kinsley Litton; siblings, Julie (Timothy) Sigurdson, April (Jeff) Workman, Roy Hall, and Ryan (Amy) Hall; step-siblings, Dave (Kim) Adcock and Colleen (Dave) Churchill, and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and friends. Rob was preceded in death by his grandparents; sister-in-law, Tammy Yanke-Hall; step-sister, Aimee Adcock, and his beloved Pops, Charles Adcock.

Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy, on Friday, November 18 from 11:00 a.m. until 7:30 p.m., where a Sharing of Stories will take place at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Oregon, 212 N. Stadium, on Saturday, November 19, at 11:00 a.m., where visitation will be held for an hour prior. Interment will follow at St. Ignatius Church Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Nightingales Harvest or to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

We are so very grateful for the love, care, and support that Rob provided, time after time. As selfless as they come, Rob was a trusted friend to all who knew him. The world was a much better place with Rob in it, though we find comfort in knowing he and Pops are reunited at last, on peaceful waters with fish aplenty. Rob's kindred spirit will remain in our hearts forever.

Where do you start really when it comes to Robbie? He was a very special, kind, sensitive man that I was fortunate enough to get close to. He was so much more than that too. Even when he was sick or having a bad he thought of me. I could always count on a daily text that said Smile Beautiful. I´m glad he was able to lean on me when he needed too. You will be forever loved Robbie.
