BAUMGARTNER Robert J. Robert J. Baumgartner, 72, of South Toledo, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Bob was born on November 26, 1937 here in Toledo to Frank and Olga Baumgartner. He was a 1956 graduate of Macomber High School. Bob married Marcia Nehring on February 19, 1966. He was a Tool and Die Maker for Doehler-Jarvis Co. for 23 years, retiring in 1990. After retirement he got his exercise by delivering the Toledo Blade for 18 years. Bob was a member of the former First English Lutheran Church and a current member of St. John Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Marcia; adopted daughters, Becky Schafer, Joye (Gerald) Keller and Leslie Null; grandchildren, Caitlinn, Jordan and Josilyn Schafer, grandpa's "buddy" Chase and Cambell Keller and Chelsie and Courtney Null; brother Don (Linda) Baumgartner; nephews, Brian (Kim) Baumgartner and Brent (Jen) Baumgartner and special daughter, Darla Perry. Friends may call at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, on Friday, August 27th from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions are requested to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
