Robert Busch Obituary
Robert W.
Robert W. "Bob" Busch, age 88, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away October 17, 2014, peacefully at the Manor of Perrysburg. He was born on February 2, 1926, in Latcha, OH to George and Pearl (Swartz) Busch. Bob proudly served in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific and went into Japan at the surrender. He served on an L.S.T. Bob was a truck broker most of his life. He was a longtime member of The Lutheran Church of The Master. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was very devoted to his loving family. Bob was a member of the Phoenix Masonic Lodge #123 of Perrysburg, the Co-Founder of the United States L.S.T. Asst., where he was president of the L.S.T. from June 15, 1987 - December 31, 1989. Later in life he was credited with starting a national reunion for the men who served on L.S.T.'s and then Bob and wife Jackie co-edited the Navy Scuttlebutt for 25 years.
Surviving is his wife of 67 years, Jackie (Hess); children, Marilyn (Paul) Ilconich, Renee (Joe) Morelock, Linda (Ron) Ruch, Bob (Jan) Busch and Garry (Dianne) Busch; grandchildren, Kelli Schultz, Kristie Reighard, Kim Morelock, Allison Bartley, Jeff Ilconich, Nicole Dotson, Mark Busch, Jeramy Busch, Danielle Horner, and Jill Ruch; brothers and sisters, Elsie Knauss, Helen Dale, John Busch, Dale Busch, Chuck Busch. Also surviving are 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; special God daughter, Diana Fouts and special friend, David Prey.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harry, and sister, Ethel.
Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd. on Sunday, October 19, 2014, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. where Masonic services will take place at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at The Lutheran Church of The Master, 28744 Simmons Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551 with Pastor Chuck Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg. Contributions may be directed to Lutheran Church of The Master or the charity of the donor's choice. God takes another part of me this morning. . I regret that I never actually talk to you this past 3 years. I wish heaven had a phone so I could hear your voice again! I thought of you everyday and now all those promise to see you and hug you again soon just blown away! You are the most incredible grandpa with the warmest hug, wise advices, and a true love. .
