Robert Schroyer Obituary

SCHROYER Robert Fay Sr. Robert Fay Schroyer Sr., age 61, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 31, 2007. The world lost an amazing and unique person on that day. He will forever be remembered for his love and pride of his family. Bobby was known for his ability to fix anything, even when told that it couldn't be fixed. He was known for his love of racing events, aviation and his unbelievable knowledge of mechanics. Bob is survived by his children, Amy (Christopher) Mendello and Rob (Angela) Schroyer Jr.; grandchildren, John and Jordan Arvanitis, Alston, Andrew and Isabella Mendello, Tyler and Cale Schroyer; brothers, Dale (Janice), Oakley (Judy), Buddy, Donny (Emily), Gary (Donna) and Paul (Diane) Schroyer; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Sandy. Robert was preceded in death by his father, George and mother, Marguerite Schroyer, as well as his one true love, Nancy, the mother of his children. Friends and family are invited to gather for a celebration of life at 3:00 p.m. on April 14 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Schroyer, 4725 Section Rd., Ottawa Lake, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the Southwest Florida Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

I'll always remember the trip to Disneyland - You included me as part of your family. Thanks Uncle Bob

I know you shared a kindred spirit with my Dad. I hope the dirt bike riding is excellent there...

Amy & Rob,

I am so very sorry to hear of your Father’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I only recently learned of your Mother’s passing when I saw the segment on the Channel 11 news last fall. I cannot begin to imagine what you are dealing with at this time.

You and your families are in my thoughts and prayers. May you find peace in the special memories you hold in your hearts.

To Robert's Family,
I loved and respected your Father/Brother, as MANY did. What more would a Man want said of himself?
Our lives lost a very special person.
His great smile was only outdone by the size of his heart and when he spoke of family his eyes lit up with love. It hurts to lose a best friend - hurts more knowing he lost all he loved.

Amy & Rob,
I am so sorry for your loss. I'm so glad that I got the chance to see and talk with your dad last month. Amy, I really think it was fate that he got the chance to see you renew your vows and spend some time with all of your kids. I have soooo many memories of him and it truly saddens me that he is gone. My personal favorite memory was our camping trip that we never quite made the planned Grayling, MI destination....ironic huh? (lol) My body raw from wiping out on a moped on a gravel road...Amy and Robbie's caring response to my painful, bleeding body.."Dad can't know you wiped out on the moped. Just act like nothings wrong." Just remember...he will eternally be Shucking around now! Love you both! Lin

The Schroyer Family,
I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow. Although I never did meet Robert Sr., I did have the pleasure of working with Rob Jr., and we was a great guy, as I assume his father was. My thoughts are with you, and if you need anything, please let me know.

I worked for a while with Bob when he was a senior in high school and was working a co-op job as a tool and die apprentice. ( Dun-Rite Tool and Die ). He was a fun guy to be around.

Will always be remembered as a little brother of a play mate on Willys Parkway in the 40's and 50's.

Dale, Okie, Bruce and I would sometimes play with the younger generation, Buddie, Bobby and PJ.

Those were the days when the woods was ours and before the test track and before the world got so complicated.
