Bob, Evie and Selders Family,
I would like to express my sympathy for you loss. I just found out today.
Now I know why Bob junior is such a great person. He was taught by a great dad. May God wrap his arms around the entire family and ease your heartache.

I would like to thank all who have had us in their thoughts and prayers and all that have sent us emails in the guest book. I can't begin to tell you how much it means to the whole family. I cry everytime I come in and read the wonderful, heartfelt writings about our Father. He has touched a lot of lives by the way he lived his life. I could only hope to leave a legacy such as my Dad's. I look in the eyes of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and I know Dad will live on in our hearts forever. We will be at the Bike to the Bay next year. You see, he left us with another legacy to continue. He will be there in spirit with the boys and grandchildren riding his bike, like he always loved to do. His MS family became a part of our family and we dearly love them all. To all who looked out for Dad on the ride, thank you. It was very much appreciated by all of us. He was a very special man. This is a very hard time for everyone. We have lost the man that quite honestly we thought would live forever. I am technically his step-daughter, but he has been a Father to me for 40 years. They don't make them any better than him. I, like everyone in the family loved him deeply and dearly. We will all be together this evening for his Celebration of Life. His bike, helmet, shirt and bike gloves will be there also. That's the way he would have wanted it. He's up there watching over us. We do miss him. Thank you for the entries, they really are very comforting.

Bob Selders was the sweetest, kindest, most determined person I've ever met. To say he looked forward each year to riding in Bike-to-the-Bay is an understatement. Every time he came in to the office, he always had a big smile when he'd tell us how far he rode that day or how much money he already raised. The ride for him was more than a challenge, it was a quest. He made a difference in many lives of those living with MS, and his memory will be in our hearts always. My deepest condolences to Ida and the Selders Family. God Bless all of you.

To the Selders Family.
It is seldom one of us finds a friend like the one my father found in Bob.
My Dad worked at SFC with Bob and he had nothing but the fondest of memories of the time he spent with Bob. They made quite a pair, and I am sure, still that way now.
May both of them rest in peace.

Dear Ida.......My deepest sympathy to you and the family. I would see Bob at the park in Waterville when I was there running and told him who I was and we had such nice conversations. He was such a joy to talk with and so easy going and gentle. My deepest sympathy.

Mr. Selders was one of a kind- a unique individual whose understated view of himself was so charming and refreshing. He did not know the significant impact he had on us. His presence and participation in the MS Bike to the Bay is legendary and his spirit will live on. Thank you Mr. Selders and Family for your support of the Bike to the Bay and the MS Society. With calming thoughts and peaceful prayers to you and yours.

Mr. Selders and the MS Bike to the Bay go together like a hand in a glove. His drive and determination have inspired many. Year after year from volunteers, to riders, to employees people ask during Bike have you seen Mr. Selders? As an employee of the MS Society and as a person with MS, I greatly appreciate all Mr. Selders has done. A piece of our tour will be missing with him gone. Your families are in my prayers.

Mr. Selders was held in high esteem by everyone here at the MS Society and by our volunteers. He sometimes needed a SAG to get over the hills at Bike to the Bay and we watched over him as if he was our own. He told me that he was getting his sons involved to leave a legacy for the bike tour. I know they will ride on in his honor. We loved him very much for his cheerful can do attitude. He will be missed by one and all. All my prayers are with Ida and the family.

JIM, AND MARK, ALTHO I DIDN'T KNOW YOUR FATHER PERSONALLY, I AM A PAST FRIEND TO THE TWO OF YOU. RECENTLY I WORKED AT KROGER IN WATERVILLE, AND WOULD SEE YOU COME IN JIM, WITH YOUR FATHER, TO SHOP. I ADMIRED WHAT YOU WERE DOING AT THE TIME. I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE TIME TO SAY HELLO.
SINCERELY,
CATHY MYERS
