Robert Sharp Obituary

Robert M. Sharp

Robert "Bobby" Michael Sharp, 62, of Keokuk, IA, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at his home.

He was born August 21, 1962, in Maumee, OH, the son of Robert A. and Carol Ann Curtis Sharp. Bobby was part of Maumee's early Little League Baseball and Scouting, next to his brother, Jimmy, and our parents, who always volunteered.

Bobby tried the Air Force but had a medical condition that kept him out. He had been employed as a Pipe fitter alongside our dad at local 351/798 (Tulsa), working the pipeline, before Bobby went back to his passion for cooking. He then became a chef at Catfish Bend Casino for ten years, until his health failed.

Bobby was the best big brother a sister or brother could have. Moreover, Bobby was a loving husband to Gina. Bobby loved his children more than anything. His faith in Jesus Christ was unwavering. He was an outdoorsman and loved to go fishing.

Robert is survived by his wife, Gina Koechle, of Keokuk; one daughter, Maddie Sharp, of Bonaparte, IA; one son, Jacob Zimmerman, of Burlington, IA; and one step-daughter, Gabriella Koechle (Cameron Thurston), of Keokuk. He is also survived by his mother, Carol Ann Neiman, of Maumee, OH; three siblings, James "Jimmy' Sharp, Elizabeth Eisen (Bob), and Todd and Tracy Sharp, all of Maumee, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, and his grandparents.

A service will be held at Maumee United Methodist Church, Maumee, OH 43537, August 9, at 10 a.m., with a light lunch following in Fellowship Hall.

Asking contributions be made to the Church.

Forever! I will miss my cousin and best friend. That bond that began as kids. Oh, how we had great times together. It's remarkable how closely we shared the same interests about life and everything. I Will always remember those times we leaned on one another. How I will miss our talks together.
Your concern and caring for the people you loved was always a big part of you brother.......man I will miss you! - Love you always.
