Ronald Marr Obituary

Ronald B. Marr

Ronald B. Marr, 67, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away at his home in Anaheim, California, on Friday, November 6, 2021, of natural causes. Ronald was born on April 27, 1954, in Toledo, Ohio, to Russell Joseph and Ruth Esther Marr. He was affectionately known as "Ron or Ronnie" by loved ones. He was a wonderful, loving, and principled man. Ron graduated from Toledo's Edward Drummond Libbey High School in 1972. After graduation Ron took flight and settled in Anaheim, California where his purpose-driven management career spanned from various well-known organizations including Disney Land and American Airlines. Ron's degree in Business Administration from Corllins University prepared him for his role as a sound leader in his illustrious career. Ron retired from American Airline and spent his retirement enjoying his love of friends, family, and enjoying life. Ronald was a very loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and a warm and caring friend. Ron had a smile that was infectious and a hearty laugh that would melt your heart. Even at his low points, Ron would reach for the positive in life. He was a beacon of light for many and will be missed by all who knew him.

Ronald begins his spiritual journey with his father, Russell J. Marr; brothers, Zelma and Russell R. Marr; sisters, Reba Marr-Harrington and Renicia Marr; and his ancestors. He leaves behind his beloved mother, Ruth E. Marr; brother, Rodney Marr; sisters, Jackie (Roger) Webb of St. Louis, Missouri, Robin Marr, Roxanne (Raynard) Shears of Elberon, Virginia; and a host of loving nephews, nieces; and extended family including his very special family from the west coast.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 702 Collingwood Boulevard, with Family Hour and viewing preceding at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Floyd Smith, Pastor and Officiant.

Ronnie took Astrid and I to the Hollywood Bowl over the summer. Be prepared and served a wine and cheese plate on a moving bus on the way up to the Bowl, then prepared a formal dinner pre-show. I was always amazed at his drive to do his thing, like taking the Dash bus up to the doctor 45 miles away in LA. A very happy guy, he would catch Astrid and I driving in the car and he would help us pass the time on our way somewhere. Rest In Peace Mr Marr.

Most sincere sympathy to Ronnie“s family, as well as his spiritual family in California.
We will miss him, such a great man, great friend, so wise and knowledgeable, he loved life and people. It was easy to gravitate towards him, as he made people feel at home, always smiling and engaging.
Ronnie will not be forgotten, he will live in our memories.
May our good Lord, receive Ronnie and welcome him to his eternal heavenly home.

Mr. Marr was a wonderful man. I was honored to have him as my patient. He made my job easy because of how loving, gentle and kind that he was. He had a great sense of humor even at the most difficult times. There was never a dry moment as I took care of him while watching "Touched by an Angel". He will definitely be missed. Mr. Marr, your In my heart forever. Love always! Nurse Angie
