Jerry Howington Obituary
He was a native of Bristol Virginia and the son of the late James Edward and Viola Prichard Howington. Mr. Howington was the owner of a local vending machine business.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother.
Survivors include his son, Jerry Lee Howington Jr. and his wife Keri of Bristol Tennessee; daughter, Robin Howington, of Knoxville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Courtney and Kailee Howington, Bristol Tennessee, and Jeremiah Howington, Knoxville; two brothers; Pete Howington and James "Junior" Howington; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Sunday evening, Oct. 5, 2008, at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 o'clock on Monday afternoon, Oct. 6, 2008, in the Paul Cook Memorial Chapel at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home, with Minister Mark Gaminde officiating. The committal service and interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Howington, Wayne Leonard, Gary McCrary, Bobby Mutter, Alan Carroll and Phil Moore.
