Sharon L.
Sharon L. Hannes, 78, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016, at the Betz Nursing Home in Auburn. She was born in Sylvania, OH, on October, 11, 1932, to Durward W. and Marie C. (Bair) Harroun. They have both passed away. She married John “Jack” Hannes in March of 1958, in Toledo and he passed away in October of 1987. They lived in Toledo until 1966 when they moved to Auburn, IN.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Lesslie (Bruce) Keeling of Reading, MI, Lesa (Stephen) Sofhauser of Cedar Park, TX and Catherine (Greg) Vick of Auburn; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Charlotte Thomas of Utah and Marguerite (Bob) Alder of Toledo. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 2 sisters, Rose Marie Rau and Gladys Darlene Harroun.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m., April 2, 2016, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, Auburn, IN with calling 2 hours prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to CFDC (Community Foundation of DeKalb County) in memo line please put Jack and Sharon Hannes Scholarship Fund. To send condolences visit
