November 18, 1935 - August 18, 2023

Shirley Ann Reeder, age 87, of Toledo and formerly of Millbury, Ohio passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023. She was born on November 18, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio to Robert V. and Edna (Bieber) Cashen. Shirley married R. Dale Reeder on November 24, 1956, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Genoa

She enjoyed being a mentor at Allen Central Elementary School in Genoa Schools with the third graders in reading. The youth fellowship program at the church is where she and Dale met, many years ago. Shirley was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Amy (Bruce) Perry of Rossford, Julie (Jeff) Billings of Genoa and Tina (Dave) Vogelpohl of Perrysburg; grandchildren, Jake (Shawna) Perry, Joshua (Chelsie) Perry, Kristopher Ramsdell, Emily (Jake) Lochotzki, Aaron (Allison) Billings, Megan (Ben) Wolfe and Jason Forsythe; 7 great-grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; sister, Sonia Sue (Roger) Coffman of Wellington, Florida; sister-in-law, Marilyn Reeder of Genoa and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale and her parents, Robert and Edna Cashen.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Traditions at West Park Place for all the love and care for their mom for the last two years.

Shirley died one year ago on my birthday August 18.
This year we are 89. I grew up in Genoa with Shirley being one of my best friends. We were in each others wedding and socialized with her and Dale. RIP my dear friend.
