Shirley Willhite

Shirley Ann (Kendziora) Drouillard Willhite was born January 25, 1954, to Helen and Ed Kendziora in Toledo, Ohio. She attended St.

Michael's elementary school and graduated from Woodward High School (Class of 1972). She left this Earth far too soon on September 9, 2013. Shirley was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend -- most importantly, she was our Mom and she was the best. In her 59 short years on Earth she built relationships with friends and family across the country and created lasting impacts on their lives. She had a way of making each person feel as if they were the most important person in the world and would drop anything to help anyone; our Mom had a servants' heart. She was a peaceful soul, who loved her home, her woods, her garden and nature. She appreciated history and saw value in even the smallest items. She was inquisitive and had a flair for ingenuity. As a believer in the Lord Jesus, she strived to live her life for Him -- and she was an inspiration to many. Her quick wit, her infectious laugh, her sound moral compass and integrity, her creativity and willingness to tirelessly help and to do for

others were just some of the hallmarks of our Mom's character. She battled failing health for the majority of her life with a grace, elegance and the determination of a prizefighter. She taught her daughters to be strong and courageous, to never give up and that you could never use too much butter. She was a sucker for a coke icee and sang the Judds' Christmas album better than the Judds did. She was a phenomenal cook, gardener and Words with Friends player. She was a voracious reader, she could can anything, she loved all animals - especially her dogs, and had a gift for creating beauty. She lived her life with strength and gratitude and whenever we were with her, we were home. She may have left this earth too soon, but now she's with her Maker hugging and catching up with all those who have gone before her, because that's who our Mom is.

Surviving are husband, Carl Willhite (Hartville, MO); children, Kylee (Craig) Broughton (Los Cabos, Mexico), Taryn (Lance) Johnson (Springfield, MO), Trisha Pacholski (Los Cabos, Mexico), David Pacholski (Toledo, OH), Bryan (Bailee)

It has taken me a month to be able to write this. My heart is still aching for the loss of such a sweet, wonderful person. I have been proud to be her friend for almost 40 years. She is like a sister to me. We were roommates, co-workers and made many memories together over the years. She stood up with me when I was married and was a sport about wearing that frilly red dress! She was at my side as I gave birth to my 1st baby. She was always there for me. I was so happy for her when she achieved her dreams, when she moved to the Ozarks. Even though I missed her, I knew that is where she wanted to be.... with nature. My sincere sympathies go out to her family, who were so very dear to her. She was a true angel on this earth and now heaven is lucky to have her. God Bless you my dear Shirley. Until we meet again!

I am so very sorry to hear about Shirley. She was such a sweetheart! We lost touch in the last year but she was there for me in emails and prayers when I went thru my cancer. I admired her strong faith and know that she is with Jesus now.

I knew Shirley many years ago in school. She married my favorite cousin Larry Drouillard. I am so sorry to hear about her. The tribute her family wrote about her is just beautiful! She will be sadly missed.

Shirley was a special friend that I met in my teen years. The obituary describes her completely. It is so sad to see such a wonderful person leave this earth. She is in a better place and I know she's holding a spot for the rest of us as she always enjoyed special friendships. God bless you Shirley. Save a spot for me.

Shirley my heart hurts so bad that just typing this has become next to impossible. I love you. I will never forget you. You always made me smile and there will be a hole in my heart for the rest of my life. Your pain is over dear sister. Rest in peace and keep a light on for me.
Your "little" brother.

I am so sorry to hear that Shirley passed away. I met Shirley in high school and just adored her. You described her so well. I only found her again a couple of years ago on facebook, thinking of her often. She is one of the few people I never forgot from school. She sent me pictures of her home and how beautiful it was! Also her adorable Yorkies. I can honestly say I loved that lady as if she was family and am sorry that one of God's angels has left earth but also glad that she is with him and at peace with her illness and no longer in pain. Take care and she did a wonderful job with her children I can tell because of the way you describe her so well and the love you show for her.

Shirley was a good friend for many years and became a member of our family when she married my favorite cousin, Larry Drouillard. The glowing tribute her family has given her is as precious a gift that any mother could hope to receive from her children and I thank you for it for her. I hadn't seen Shirley in some years but her face comes immediately to my mind and cannot think of a dearer person. I shall keep her and her family in my thoughts and prayers. May God keep her in His loving arms. Jamie Drouillard Lada

Shirley was my neighbor as a child, my babysitter, and a sweetheart. She made this world a better place. She was generous, funny, and a person you wanted to be around.'s loss, heaven's gain.
