Steven Sweet Obituary
Steven E.
Steven E. Sweet, 56, died suddenly in his home December 27, 2014, of a heart attack.
He was born on July 2, 1958, in Kalamazoo, MI to Edward and Janet Sweet.
Steve graduated from Blissfield High School in 1976, and Northern Michigan University in 1980. He joined the Peace Corps, serving 2 years in Ghana. Steve was a manager for Marcos Pizza for over 20 years. An Avid reader, he also loved theatre, opera, bicycling, baseball, and cats. Steve was a good friend of Bill W. for 24 years.
Steve married the love of his life, Randa Shallal, on May 6, 2007. He was a wonderful husband and will be missed beyond what words can express.
Steve is survived by his wife, Randa Sweet; sister, Cathy Griffith; brother, Thomas (Kathy) Sweet; sister-in-law, Debbie McCrandall; brother-in-law, Jeff Witte, and his nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death.
Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Friday, January 2, 2015, from 11-2 and 4-6. The funeral ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be given to the Toledo Humane Society. Please view on online registry at:

Sorry to hear of this, I live near Marco's and have been a regular customer for years he was always there when I visited. He will be greatly missed by all. Prayers to the family and his Marco's family.

Very sad and shocked to hear this. Steve was a great guy and always had a joke to tell. I have a lot of memories with him, between work, helping him and his wife making chocolate ice cream topping. Trips to cedar point, one where we stayed until 2 a.m. because he talked us into being extras in a movie they were filming there. My heart goes out to all that knew him. He will be missed... R.I.P. I grew up with Steve's friendly service at Marco's and many years later learned we were mutual friend's of Bill W. My deepest condolences to Randa and family. So long, friend.
